The Clumber Spaniel is normally a white coated dog that was bred as a gundog. It is of a medium size and has a straight, dense coating of hair. They have dense bones and are quite heavy.
The Clumber Spaniel will not act overly friendly towards strangers, but is extremely loyal and affectionate towards people that it knows. This breed is intelligent and is renown for "stealing" household objects, due to its propensity to retrieve, bred into the breed for hunting purposes.
