The Briad is a large breed of dog that was originally bred to both herd and protect sheep. They have a harsh coat and have developed great agility so they can herd.
They are a very loyal breed and will see anyone they become well acquainted with as part of their flock, whom they will then defend. Due to this outlook it is important that they become acquainted with the public in general from a young age.
