Border Collies, which originated in England and Scotland, are a popular breed of working dog. This breed has a medium length coat, but can be quite varied in apperance. The Border Collie suffers from being prone to a number of hereditary diseases, including hip dysplasia.
Border Collies are very energetic and they require a fair degree of exercise in order to be happy. As they are also intelligent dogs repetitive exercise may become boring to them, and they may like to play games, as well as just going on walks.
