The Australian Terrier is a small terrier that is generally around 25cm high, with a rough, short coat, of approximately six centimetres and a soft undercoat. They are an intelligent breed who enjoys doing things its own way. However, they also learn quickly and can be obedient if well trained.
The terrier has sharp eyesight and enjoys being around its owners, including children, who it will get along with. The breed enjoys exercise, although it will generally be happy in small areas, as long as it is given some freedom to roam.
